Art Gallery Opening with Sophia Rose Lee
Enjoy our The Barnett’s newest artist-in-residence, Sophia Rose Lee. Her gallery opening is free and open to the public, with complimentary bubles from 5-6pm, located inside the Lobby and Art Gallery of The Barnett.
Sophia Rose Lee is a painter, graphic designer, and photographer based in New Orleans. She also works as a creative director and artist manager, collaborating with musicians to shape their visual identities and long-term direction.
Her painting practice is rooted in movement, rhythm, and emotion, influenced by her background as a dancer. Through texture, vibrant color, gestural brushwork, and expressive forms, her work explores spontaneity, tension and release, leaving space for viewers to bring their own interpretations.
